  • How to sign up for Restart?

    1. Download Restart app. Our free app is available in App Store or Google Play.
    2. Set up your account. Sign up for the card in the app in minutes.
    3. All set! Your application is already being processed. Once you have signed up for a card, you'll get more detailed status information about your application in the app. When approved, you'll get access to a Restart debit card and all the banking services we provide.
    4. Wait for card delivery. Standard delivery takes up to 15 days and it's free of charge.

  • How much does it cost?

    With Restart, opening an account is free of charge. We do not charge any monthly maintenance fees, offer free card delivery, and fee-free cash withdrawals from more than 30,000 ATMs nationwide. You can find more information about the fee schedule here.

  • How am I being protected with Restart?

    Your funds are held by USALLIANCE Financial, and are federally insured for up to $250,000 with the NCUA.

  • Can I use my Restart card outside of the United States?

    Yes! You can continue to use your Restart card abroad anywhere Visa is accepted. Foreign transaction fees may apply. You can find more information about the fee schedule here.

  • What is required to sign up for Restart?

    1. You must be 18 years of age, or older;2. Have a government-issued photo identification document: it could be a driver license (DL), identification card (ID) or passport;SSN or ITIN number;3. A US phone number;4. A US address where you can receive your Restart card (P.O. boxes are not valid).
    * Sometimes we may ask to provide additional details if we are unable to verify your identity.

  • How to set up Direct Deposit?

    When you sign up for Early Pay Direct, you'll get paid up to 2 days sooner than traditional banks. That can give you a couple of extra days to pay bills earlier or buy things you need since the money appears in your bank account after setting up. Also, you can download the Direct deposit form in the section "More."

    Early direct deposit is an automatic feature when you set up direct deposit with Restart.

    No extended hold applying to direct deposit!
    Log in to the Restart app and choose Accounts -> Set Up Direct Deposit -> and follow the instructions:
    1. Review the Welcome Screen, which informs you what information is and is not being accessed on your behalf.
    2. Search for and select your employer or payroll provider from the Employer/Payroll Search Screen.
    3. Provide your credentials and any additional personal information required to authenticate your payroll account as part of the login screens.
    4. Select the preferred amount/percentage of the paycheck for direct deposit into the Restart account at your financial institution.
    5. Confirm the successful change of the direct deposit setup.
    6. Press Return to Restart bank.

    All done. A direct deposit is set up.

  • How to file a dispute?

    If you noticed an unauthorized transaction in your account and didn't file a dispute yet, please get in touch with one of our agents in live chat.

    A dispute form will be sent to you by email. Please fill it in and send it back.

    You can ask for updates no earlier than 10 business days. This is how long it usually takes. However, in some cases, disputes can take up to 120 days.

    If the dispute is in the merchant's favor, a letter will be sent to the account holder. If it is in the account holder's favor, they will receive the funds.

  • How to reset my card pin?

    To reset or change your PIN, please call our hotline number on the back of your card. Choose "Existing account" -> "Activate card or change your Pin code" and follow the instructions from the automated system.

  • Card replacement

    If, for some reason, you need to request your card replacement, please do so by calling the number on the back of your card: Existing account -> Blocked card (#3), or request a replacement by contacting the operator in Live chat.

    Your old card will be blocked, and a new digital card will appear in your account in 1-2 business days after request. If you had any balance on your account, it would be transferred automatically to your new card. Physical card delivery usually takes 10-15 business days, but you can activate and use your digital card.

  • How to deposit my check?

    With Restart, you can use your smartphone to scan paper checks remotely.

    Please make sure you signed the back of your check and wrote: "For Restart Deposit Only."

    To complete this action, choose «Deposit» -> «Check Deposit» -> Select an account, where the funds should go > Take a picture of the front of the check, and make sure the information was scanned correctly > Take a photo of the back of the check and make sure the information was scanned correctly (check that there are no error messages and the amount is displayed correctly) -> Choose «Submit»

    The amount of your deposit will appear in «Current Balance,» and it will become «Available Balance» after the check is processed (typically, it'll take 7 business days).

  • What are my account limits?

    "Move Money" or "Plaid" limitsInto account:● Daily transfer limit is $600● Single transfer limit is $600● Monthly transfer limit is $6000

  • When will my mobile check deposit be available to use?

    For account security purposes, all checks are subject to the bank's extended seven-business-day hold.

    This means that your deposit will show up on the account as "Current Balance" within 1 business day, but it will become "Available Balance" in 7 business days from the day of deposit (weekends and holidays not included).

  • When will I receive my card?

    Your Restart debit card will be sent to you after successful account registration to the address entered during registration.

    Card delivery usually takes 10-15 business days, but you can activate your digital card right away and start using it for purchases!

    Please reach out to our customer support, if you didn't receive your card within 15 business days.

  • How to load my card?

    Currently, we have the next several options to add funds to your account:● ACH Transfer● Transfer money via "Move Money" with Plaid in 3 business days.● Remote Check Deposit● Direct Deposit● Venmo Transfer
    Currently, we don't have the option to add cash, but we are working on it. Please stay tuned. You, as our client, will be the first to know once this is implemented. We appreciate your loyalty and patience.
